Delete Your Account
How to delete your account
Steps
- Open the chess.ceo app and make sure you are signed in
- Go to Settings (via the menu)
- Open the About tab and scroll down
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is erased:
- Your account and login credentials
- Email address
- Username and profile information
- Avatar selection
- Game collections and saved games
- Puzzle progress and favorites
- All other data associated with your account
When it is deleted
Your account is deactivated immediately. You are signed out, and your
profile, collections, saved games and puzzle history are no longer
accessible to you or to anyone else.
The data is then permanently erased from our systems 30 days
later. This grace period exists so that an account deleted by
mistake can still be recovered — contact
admin@chess.ceo within those 30 days.
After that, recovery is not possible.
What is retained
Records we are required to keep by law — in particular payment,
invoice and tax records for subscriptions and credit purchases — are
retained for the statutory retention period even after your account is
erased. Security records such as login attempts and audit logs are deleted
after 90 days.
Important
- Deactivation takes effect immediately; permanent erasure follows 30 days later
- Once erased, your data cannot be recovered
- Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription — cancel that in the Play Store to stop further charges
- If you have any issues deleting your account, contact us at admin@chess.ceo
